It's my local chippy, normally I'd just get a couple of fishcakes for a quick evening meal. Today I asked for a small portion of fish. I was able to watch as my fish was battered and fried right in front of me. You can't get fresher than that! While waiting, I had a chat with Danny, and we caught up on what we'd both been doing. Lovely light crispy batter and well cooked flaky cod. Going back for more soon :)
I've had chips from here several times when passing as it's not my local chippy and they've always been nice until tonight, I sent my daughter in to get chips to take home to eat, unfortunately when we opened them we were very disappointed in the 1.80 bag which compared to my local chip shop was only just enough for a small child and looked as if they'd been kept warm for hrs, they were so dry almost every chip wasn't edible, if I lived a bit closer & could be bothered they'd of been taken back for a refund, however they were instead thrown in the bin which was the best place for them.
Only had chips-really good though.
Great chippy with a fab selection! They also do breakfast cobs :)
Locally ran family business that's friendly and affordable. Good size portions and well made. And they deliver! Nice.
